Oprah Winfrey will announce on Friday that her popular daytime talk show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” will end its run in 2011, Tim Bennett, the President of Harpo, announced in a letter released to ABC affiliates on Thursday.
“Tomorrow, Oprah will announce live on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ that she has decided to end what is arguably one of the most popular, influential and enduring programs in television history,” he wrote in the letter, obtained by Access Hollywood. ” The sun will set on the ‘Oprah’ show as its 25th season draws to a close on September 9, 2011.”

Excuse me as I weep! Ever since I was a young and even more defiant little boy, I always dreamed of guest starring on the Oprah Winfrey show. I would march on set like Sophia did through the corn fields, then we would discuss the gossip of the 90s and play spades backstage with Gayle. This is devastating.

i dont know how im gonna make it in the afternoon around 4pm when she would come on, or catch the reruns @ 11pm. ever since i was a lil kid i would go around pretending that i was like oprah and sing her old theme song (im sure some of you remember) . i understand that she needs to take a break but damn man.
now all we have left is big 4head tyra and the cowardly transgender lion wendell williams. daytime tv aint never gonna be the same w/o lady o.
