Why Didn’t She Say That?
Thanks to E.Jay from AmalgaMade for explaining Beyonce’s new Dereon ad to us. It was supposed to be a play on the movie poster from 1999’s Brad Pitt flick, Fight Club. I actually saw that film and the poster several times and never put these two together. Besides, Brad managed to get the job done without looking like he had a case of Taco Bell bubble guts. Anyway, it’s nice to get some closure.

Even with the explanation it doesn’t make sense for why she did it cuz she’s trying to promote her clothing line not a movie…It’s still NOT cute!
DAMN! hmmmmm, i think she needed Ms Kizzy to be in the background, maybe i would have gotten it then…..still her face looks a bit swollen….stung by 50-11 bees or somethin….

Lol aw I didn’t mean it in a “she’s a copycat” way, but thanks for noticing I said it and putting up a link! I do love Beyonce in the most stan-less way possible, but yeah, she definitely has the stank-face happening in that ad. It’s not very good, and I miss the point of the tiara.
You know I’m aware that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this site doesn’t have any educational merit, but socially its starting to stink. All you do is pick on Beyonce because she’s a “copy-cat.” Like white folks don’t “borrow” from the black community (see, Jazz, Rock N’ Roll and Kim K’s ass)! Why are Black people always tearing one another apart? I know jealousy has a lot to do with it, but please people get a life and a social concious. Here’s a successful black woman who is NOT on drugs, doesn’t have any children out of wedlock and doesn’t use the “n” like its going out of style. If you don’t like her, fine, don’t post anything about her! I only wish the black community would spend have as much time on bettering themselves as they do belittling and hurting one another. Come on, People!

First of all, the last time I posted Beyonce related news, besides this photo, was on February 13th…over a month ago.
Now, Beyonce is always imitating or trying to spin off the works of other people — that’s the truth. If it bothers you, speak to her about it, because I’m gonna keep on saying it as long as she keeps doing it. I love Beyonce, but just like me and you, she is not perfect.
And as far as the “black community” tearing each other down and what not; homie, if someone does something good, I say something good. If you do something stupid, I’ll call you stupid. I give people their credit. Hell, I have a feature dedicated to promoting talented writers, singers, bloggers, actors, teachers, etc. Beyonce is not the core of the black community, so take that sermon elsewhere.

I never said Beyonce was the core of the Black Community. Please don’t misinterpret what I said. I just find it bothersome at times when blacks tend to “pick on” one another. Sure, you noted that the last time you posted something (negative) about Beyonce was in February, but its not as if you didn’t keep her under the bus for what seemed like all of 2007; referring to her as a harpie queen and what not. Sure, I know you poke fun at several people; I’ve been reading the site for a while now, but it appears as if many of our black youth are fixated on being hyper-critical of one another and not recognizing the good that so many people do. So Homie, the sermon ain’t going no where just like crab-a$$ black folk that like to hate on one another.

I love it when you and other *holy* stans try to downplay her actions and make her into this innocent little girl.
She doesn’t do drugs???….Boohoo
Neither do a lot of women in the entertainment industry that try to stay focused on their work….what’s your point. There will always be an extreme example to find in this industry. Britney and Paris hilton are two of the most extreme cases of white- girls-gone-bad that doesn’t mean that other girls are like that.
And before you go and talk about people not caring about the black community, i wish you would stick up for the REAL struggling actors and singers in this industry who are trying to make a living the HONEST WAY!
The bottomline is this girl is FAKE FAKE FAKE!
There is a good reason people don’t like her and it’s becoming evident more and more each day. She is sneaky, only cares about money, there is not ONE sincere bone in her body.
I doesn’t matter, though she made her career on the backs of others and soon the whole this is going to collapse on her. You can’t sustain a credible career when you start out fake and all you do is copy other people.
The people you met on your way up will be the people you meet on your way down!

This is so stupid aside from the fact that those pictures barely have anything in common, I seriously doubt Beyonce personally came up with the concept of that photoshoot herself, talk about a HUGE reach.
I think Seven is a little frustrated at how the black blogs can be a little harsh on our black celebs. I think MTO is the worse offender. One time they said Jay Z was cheating on B with Penelope Cruz. It was a picture of her with a camel. However, our celebs need a reality check at times. I think Seven would like to hear about the good things as well the bad. B is a part of Make-A-Wish. She does charitable things in Houston. Fury, I think your site is fine. I am not taking sides. I am a neutral party.

To #15 - No I’m not a “stan” and you totally missed the point. Sadly, it doesn’t surprise me; after reading some of your comments you began to judge and make assumptions about some know nothing about. Good try, but reading a few books, study your history a nd be sure to vote. (See those were assumptions about you based on a comment -not nice is it?)
