Girlicious - Like Me
So, The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious wrapped last night with the finale on The CW. Please, do not feel left out if you have never heard of this show — you’re better off. Anyway, the winners and members of the new girl group Girlicious are Natalie, Chrystina, Nichole, and Tiffanie.
Judging by their first single, “Like Me”, produced by Jazze “Poak Chop Pizza” Pha, and the accompanying video, would you say that these chicks will make it in the industry? To be honest, with a name like Girlicious, I think they were sitting shitty before they even started.
Man down!
Alicia Keys - Teenage Love Affair
I love how Alicia Keys tries to turn all of her music videos into little mini-movies…even when they don’t make sense. It is entertaining. One problem I have, however, is the constant breaks in the track to play out a scene. It’s like, “Damn. Can we just hear the song?”
“Teenage Love Affair” features cameos by the dozens. See if you can catch them all.
Jay-Z & Mary J - You’re Welcome
Why does this look like a fanmade YouTube video? Someone explain.
Kelly Rowland - Comeback
Ms. Kelly is a certified trooper. The video for her song, “Comeback” (which I love…seriously), has made its debut. Due to Kizzy’s undeniable work ethic and strive I’m not going to bash her this time around. Besides the video is very sexy.
One question though: Is that glitter glue running down her face at 1:34?
Usher - Love In This Club
I personally don’t like this song or Usher for that matter, but for the folks who have gotten over his same sex marriage and supposed child, here is the new video. I like how they are trying to make it epic with a bizarre plot and even more bizarre ending. It was also nice to see Usher dancing again. Then, my girl Keri Hilson stole the entire video for me. So, all in all, I give it a sigh.
Usher’s new album, Here I Stand, hits stores on May 27th. Anyone think it will match up to Confessions?
Madonna - 4 Minutes
Nobody can tell Madonna that she is too old to be moving like the youngsters. She must have been sipping a lot of milk during her career, because those bones are strong.
The video, while holding a shaky concept, was alright. I would have liked to see more choreography, but this shit will have to do. Enjoy!
Kanye West - Homecoming
The new video is that of “Homecoming” featuring Chris Martin of Coldplay. Very beautiful to see Kanye in his original environment, along with interesting visual effects and the black and white that makes it all so serious. I vote yes!

Keyshia Cole - Heaven Sent
As you can see, Ms. Keyshia has premiered the video for her current single, “Heaven Sent”. This song is honestly my favorite on the album — it is probably my favorite Keyshia Cole song of all. The video is an artsy walk around some abandoned island…all pretty like. I give this attempt a thumb up.
Man down!
Grind Mode - I’m So High
The new rap crew to keep your eyes on is Miami’s own Grind Mode. I did a spotlight on them not too long ago, remember? Anyway, I have been awaiting a video to their local smash single “I’m So High”, (I don’t know anything about “She So Fly”), and here it is. Pretty decent…nothing outrageous. Just fun effects and pretty girls — I’m not mad.
Can you South Dade jook?
Danity Kane - Damaged
I haven’t been watching much of Making The Band 4, because I don’t care for any of Diddy’s puppets like that. However, I will admit that I like this new Danity Kane song and the new video is pretty decent — probably their best video yet. The ending was a little corny, but I’ll give it a thumbs up.
Cheri Dennis is somewhere laying underneath piss-stained sheets contemplating life.
