Kimora Lee Simmons filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Russell Simmons, in Los Angeles County Superior Court Tuesday.

The couple announced that they had split up in March 2006, but said they had already been separated “for some time.”

In court papers, Kimora, 32, cites irreconcilable differences and asks for legal and physical custody of the couple’s two daughters, Ming, 8, and Aoki, 5. She requests that Simmons, 50, get “reasonable child visitation … to be accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel. [ source ]

The prosecution in the Remy Ma assault case gave their closing arguments yesterday (Mar. 16) as the trial for the Bronx-bred rapper comes to a end.

As previously reported by SOHH, Remy Ma’s lawyer, Ivan Fisher, said in his closing arguments that the prosecution did not prove that the shooting was anything more than an accident. …

But prosecutors rebutted the claim. According to the Associated Press, Assistant District Attorney Michael McIntosh defined an accident as “an unforeseen occurrence,” and told the jury, “That’s not what happened here.” …

The prosecutor said Smith, after shooting Barnes-Joseph, did not check her body for wounds, call for medical help or take the plaintiff to a hospital.

“Instead, she ran,” McIntosh said. “The reason she ran was because she knew what happened in the car. Your friend is shot. Do you run or do you call 911?”  [ source ]

A Georgia man accused of stalking the supermodel chat-show host was arrested last Tuesday after paying multiple unwanted visits to the New York studio that houses Banks’ show.

According to the criminal complaint filed against Brady Green, the 37-year-old has reportedly been stalking the star since early January and has attempted to contact the daytime fixture numerous times—appearing at her Los Angeles studio, making repeated phone calls and sending multiple letters to her workplace and even having flowers delivered at her studio.

He was ultimately busted by NYPD officers last week at her Manhattan TV studio after hopping a bus from his home state to New York. [ source ]

Seems like the new Gnarls Barkley album, The Odd Couple, has been leaked to online file sharing sites a month before it’s intended release. Users have already started downloading.I want to know something…why is the great, unique, quality music always being leaked and downloaded early? I never hear about a Bow Wow or a Soulja Boy record being leaked. Why does it seem like the deserving artists are always being hit with this? Anyway, apparently the same thing happened to Gnarls Barkley with their first album, St. Elsewhere, and they hit multi-platinum status.I’ll be buying a copy.

Amy Winehouse has been forced to take time off work after she was diagnosed with impetigo, a highly contagious skin condition.

The troubled star sparked rumors she may have been involved in a fight after she was photographed on Friday with a painful-looking swelling on the side of her face.

But the 24-year-old’s representative has now confirmed her swollen face is down to a bout of impetigo and the singer will have to spend time in isolation to stop the infection spreading.

He says, “Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo, which she’s been told can be highly contagious.
