We all knew it was only matter of time before Nick Cannon came to his wife’s defense. After yesterday’s leaked video of an argument between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on the American Idol set, Nicholas had this to say about the incident.

“My wife is the strongest and the classiest woman I’ve ever met. If you watch the video she just maintains her composure like she does. I don’t think she’s moved by the theatrics and the pageantry of it all. She signed up to do a job to help young people accomplish their dreams. I hope this is not what the show is about, is the cat fights.”

Mama said “the pageantry of it all.” If that ain’t a rich butch queen’s way of saying “she paid it,” nothing ever will be. Still this should teach Nicki to let go of her hoodrat afflictions and learn to shade with the best of them. That finger-wagging shit is for the birds.

Ok folks this is the REAL tea on this whole situation from beginning to end as I see it:
First, Mariah was hired for not only name recognition but also talent. nicki was hired strictly for ratings because seriously, who in the age demographic of ppl who read this blog still watch american idol?? chances are yall aint watched since a person of color won and thats been some years. Second, them producers pretty much tricked mariah into signing on by waiting til the ink was dried before letting the cat out of the bag about nicki. Its insulting that a actual singer with over 20 years of experience has to judge a SINGING competition with someone who (in all reality) has no real singing ability whatsoever outside of some damn autotune. I believe that because the checks have already been cashed and Fox probably got lonng money to sue is the only reason Mariah aint walked off yet. Had the got Nicki first there woulde been not talk of mariah carey touching this project Lastly, Nicki is letting them YMBELDF (whatever) folks and these so called “barbz” she got gas her up wayyy too much cuz she is burning the wrong bridges this year. First Hot 97 and now ths?? Not a good look. Ms. Onika if you know whats good for you will humble yourself down to your station and talent level because your fans are dropping like flies.
