Solange Finally Releasing New Single & Video

Sol-Angel: Princess Creole Lady Lite is finally pushing new music our way. The 26-year old singer/songwriter is trekking around Cape Town to film a “documentary style” video for her upcoming single, “Losing You.”

Blue Ivy’s auntie describes the new record as eclectic with ’80s references and African percussion influences,” which obviously explains the setting for the video.

“So the locations for my video will largely be inspired by the colour in the architecture and townships around here. We’ll just take a camera and see what happens.”

Knowles said her music video would be filmed like a “stylised documentary” at locations around the city. The song is from her third studio album recorded with British producer, Dev Hynes, who has previously collaborated with Florence and the Machine and The Chemical Brothers.

I can’t wait to hear what Solange has been working on. I’m sure it will be an album that traps me in my feelings and/or a long aisle at Whole Foods searching for healthy ass tea that nobody really drinks.

Hadley St. Dreams hasn’t left my mp3 player since it came out. I’ll take her music over big sis’ any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Her music is fresher, more original and more honest.

This family can just do no wrong!

It’s not like Venus and Serena. If Solange went the route of Beyonce she’d be fighting for her life.
I think it helps that the person that she is happens to be so musically different. Because she and her sister sound so similar to me. Kind of like the Jacksons.
