Jennifer Hudson was seen in Washington Heights yesterday filming scenes for the upcoming season of NBC’s musical drama, Smash. She will be playing a Broadway star in the second season of the hit series.
The singer/actress also had her 3-year old son, David Otunga Jr with her and showed him around the set before switching into her scene clothes and getting to work. J-Hud may have a bobble head, but she looks fantastic to me.
Also filming scenes for the show is Dee aka Sheryl Lee Ralph. I can only imagine all the Dreamgirls shade she tossed in Jennifer Hudson’s presence. In my mind, Ralph was randomly muttering “that bitch ain’t Deena Jones” at the craft service table. Either way, she too is a shining example of black’s refusal to crack and I live for it.
