During her concert in Stockholm, Sweden this past Monday, Lauryn Hill implied (again) that she plans on returning to music and recording a new album.
It’s been close to 14 years since the release of her classic solo release, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which has gone 8x Platinum in the US and earned Ms. Hill five Grammy awards in 1999, including Album of The Year.
Fans have been pining for new music ever since and there have been several hints of a return over the years. Here is what Lauyrn has to say now.
“We appreciate your love and I have to believe that what I did the first time, you received my sincerity from it. So you knew through all those years, all those things that people said, they had no idea what was going on behind the scenes.
“But understand, my intention was always to come back and give a better version of the story. A more truthful, more honest, more transparent version of the story. To be a more whole me, so I can encourage you to be a more whole you.”
Yeah, okay girl. I’ll believe it when I see an album in the stores. You won’t set me up to get shut down…again! Check out the video below along with a few other performances.
