A twitter friend of mine (ibiscaraib) recently asked me for my take on Sammy Sosa and his new Clorox-scented skin. At the time, I didn’t know what she was talking about, so I looked it up. The Major League Baseball star somehow went from a chocolate Latin stud to a clam chowder-colored Gomez Addams (minus the mustache). What a damn shame!
Some folks are claiming that he is receiving some kind of “skin rejuvenation” treatment and the lighting and over-exposure from the cameras only make him seem to appear that bright. That’s funny, because his wife looks the same color to me in both photos. Besides, those green contacts and that aqua-perm clearly gave away his yearning to be whiter. Sammy, you and those forever black lips look a fucking fool!

So true, Mister. Not just Dominicans, but a lot of Afro-Latinos don’t like that shit. It’s sad.

@MISTER. I am Dominican & I couldn’t love my chocolate skin more if I tried. Don’t generalize a whole race because of what a couple of people do. I know I’m black I wouldn’t change anything about me if I could afford to, except maybe get myself some DDs seeing as to how the DONK is already ON DECK, but other than that. . .that fool DOES NOT represent us.

no comment…naw, fuck that….this dude looks a damn fool for real. Shame on him…he’s already unfortunate looking, and then he goes and smears Ambi bleaching cream all over his face….self hate is a hell of a drug. Just be happy with who you are…that’s how God made you, fool!
His wife is pretty, but she’s crazy for letting him do that, but then again, she’s broke and he’s a millionaire, so what could she REALLY say to him?
