#1: The Word “Swag”
Making threats is not something that kick-starts my engine, but if I hear one more person talk about their “swag”, I’m gonna hit that bitch with a Charles Hammy. Most of the fools running around using that term 70 times a day probably don’t even know what it means. If you don’t believe me, ask someone what “swag” is and see if you get a plausible response. Then, all of the idiotic references in Hip-Hop music make it even worse — “Booty Got Swag”, “Turn My Swag On”, “Kiss My Swag”, “Swag Surfin”…none of those make any fucking sense!
Rightfully so, this horrible ass word made it to number one on the “Why Are You Still Here?” list and I have no complaints about it.

We all know that word was dead ages ago, but people will keep saying it for the next 5 years. I actually looked up the word and not one definition is close to making sense for these songs. When I first heard the word I immediately thought of the shit you get at award shows. I must say the cycle of “Swag” has moved very quickly, so hopefully that shit will run its course faster. I say if you are going to use the word Swag, or any variation, please use sparingly. Maybe once a month, or week, but no more then that. I don’t even know why someone needs to use the word that frequently, maybe its time to get a damn thesaurus.
@ Mrs. Grapevine, you know when mainstream (and by that, I mean, white America) gets a hold of our slang, then it’s a wrap! May this be a wakeup call to the rest of the world that “Swag” should just DIE!
I thought swag was free stuff you get for being a celeb but what do i know

Apparently ‘bling’ has finally died and gone to literary hell, hence it’s absence from this list. Thank God.
When old white folks start using a word, it has successfully saturated Black culture, infiltrated other cultures and ultimately prevails as an ‘american’ term and it’s time to retire. Thank God ’swag’ will soon be laid to rest, I shudder at the thought of what’s coming next…

It’s being used by white folks now but black folks still on that shyt. Lesson: We gotta stop coming up with new slang every 3 months cuz the chances are they will get played out faster than Supahead.
