So, I’m still twisted over this Biggie biopic casting. I’m worried — so I decided to try and dig up some dirt on the other cast members to see who else is playing who. Not much luck, so I’m guessing shit.
My first prediction is that Antonique Smith will be playing the part of Faith Evans. Smith is a singer and an actress who has even appeared on Broadway. Besides that, she looks exactly like Faith, so I don’t see who else she would act as.
Somebody has to play Lil’ Kim, right? Could it be Naturi Naughton — the former 3LW member (yes, the one that got hit in the head with some Church’s Chicken)? I don’t see any other options besides Julia Pace Mitchell, which doesn’t make any sense to me. If Naturi is actually playing Kim on the big screen, those will be some big nasty drawers to fill, but a great way to make it back to the limelight. I’m sure a new album will follow up the film. Let’s just hope it’s not rap.
Antonique Smith would easily win the role of Aaliyah, if there were a movie about her life, no doubt about it.
