If the Blood Don’t Fit…

Rapper Remy Ma is confident of “vindication” in her forthcoming assault trial after prosecutors failed to find Dna evidence linking her to the crime.

The hip-hop star - real name Remy Smith - is accused of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, gang assault and witness intimidation in relation to the shooting of 23-year-old Makeda Barnes-Joseph outside a New York nightclub in July.

Smith is due to stand trial later this month but her defence team insist the star has a good chance of being acquitted as experts failed to find any Dna clues to link her to the shooting.

Defence attorney Ivan Fisher tells Sohh.com, “They (police) were looking in the victim’s car for evidence of blood. Now I ask you, since my client wasn’t shot and the victim was, whose blood do you think it was? As long as the prosecution keeps thinking like this, we might win this case. We look forward to vindication.” [ source ]

So not one bloody strand of yaki on the scene, huh? Looks like we may have a whole heap of colorful outfits, two-toned weaves, and Fat Joe diss records to look foward to from Lumberjack Jane!

50 Cent on Bill O’Reilly

First of all, I am in line with the comment 50 Cent made about the country not being ready for a black president. Racism is not as dead as people think it may be and odds are someone would, in fact, try to kill him. Either that or Obama would make one wrong move in the White House and all the “niggers” in the world would be to blame. That’s my opinion, anyway.

So, of course Curtis makes light of the situation by picking on Bill O’Rielly who called him a pinhead on his show. Bill hates anything to do with rap. I wish someone would employ Rick Ross, Lil’ Boosie, and Jim Jones to wait for him by his car one night. He’d shit himself.

Writers Strike Finally Over?

Posted By Kid Fury on Friday.February.8th.2008 in Please Be True! // 4 Comments

A deal has been reached to end the Hollywood writers’ strike, according to a U.S. media report.

“It’s over,” former Walt Disney chief executive Michael Eisner told CNBC. “They made the deal, they shook hands on the deal. “

The major media companies and the Writers Guild of America reached an agreement last Friday, Eisner said live on CNBC’s Fast Money.

“I have some friends in certain places and I believe there was a handshake last Friday… it’s possible they (the writers) will turn it down but it would be insane if they turned it down,” Mr. Eisner added. [ source ]

Dear Lord,

Please let this follow through. It’s clear that the excess amount of reality dating shows and BET programming is destroying the world as we know it. All I want is another season of Heroes…it’s in your hands Father.

Amen.

Where’s The Album?

Speaking of pop divas with grim futures — here’s a few new flicks from Nicole Scherzinger (just drop the last name, homie). The woman is gorgeous, but if her solo career sucked any harder, I’d have to nickname it Karrine.

Let It Die, Kelly!

I really feel bad for Kelly Rowland at this point. The girl’s album, Ms. Kelly, was released in July of last year, with horrid results. Now, she will be re-releasing it (in B’Day uniformity) next month. This clip is a snippet of the official video for her 5th single, “Comeback”. I actually like this song, too.

However, this all seems like the beating of a rather dead horse to me. My suggestion would be for Kellz to forget all about this, stay at home, and serve Baby Daniel his daily fix of hash and eggs. I’m sure the Knowles Klan will compensate her just nicely for that. This is just embarrasing.

Do you see what the Flavor of Love causes? All I’m going to say is that this little boy needs to give his Aunt Pearlie back her Saturday club-hopping wig and her Sunday morning revival blouse. This shit is absolutely unacceptable!

More fuckery under the cut!

Day 26 on Wendy Williams

The boys of Day 26 (you don’t know how sick it makes me to type that name) stopped by The Wendy Williams Experience the other day and, of course, they got shut down with plenty of confrontations about their sexual orientations, married lives, and being broke on Bad Boy. I loved every second of it. We all say what we want about her, but Wendy’s interviews are always fun.

I haven’t been watching Making The Band this season — for some reason it just reminds me of a wack season of The Real World except with lame pop stars that won’t matter by the end of the year anyway. Why subject myself to that twaddle?

Listen to the interview here.

Got a brand new wig swaying in the wind and don’t know how to act!

Check out Ciara rubbing all up on Ludacris at a recent performance. Someone is over the 50 Cent stunt. Let the new celebrity couple rumors commence! GO!

Words of Wisdom w/ Lil’ Mama

Posted By Kid Fury on Thursday.February.7th.2008 in I Can't Hate, Who Approved This? // 1 Comment

So, some virtuoso at BET.com thought it would be a grand idea to give Lil’ Mama a shot at a blog post. The result:

“I thought that I would have been a great person to have on the panel because I had a lot to say at the time.  And as far as degrading women by using “hoes” and “bitches” and having them half naked in the videos and stuff like that, they felt like they weren’t responsible, a lot of these rap guys. I feel like you are responsible because you’re a leader. Like me, I’m a young female artist, so young girls are gonna look up to me [and] say, ‘I wanna be Lil Mama.’ So, for another young guy, they’re gonna say, ‘I wanna be Nelly. I wanna be this person, I wanna be that person.’ And the women that are in their video, are the type of women that they wanna have around themselves. So that’s the point that I wanted to point out to the guys. What you do matter…because young kids are looking up to you like, I wanna do that too. And it’s not even about the girls, that make you hot. It’s whatever you do is hot. So for them to see it around you, they gon be like, ‘wow! He got girls. That make him hot? I want girls around me that don’t wear clothes.’”

Well said…horribly written, but I catch her drift.
