In all honesty, I don’t know Jordin Sparks from a speck of shit on a wall. I get that she won American Idol and she has an annoying ass song about tattoos — whatever! I guess she has some amount of industry cred since she’s doing records with Chris Brown. Here’s a very dramatic video featuring the two.
Um, Jordin…I don’t think Rihanna is gonna appreciate you being all up in here twat-shaver’s circumference like this. Don’t get your ass whooped!

I seriously need to know who approved this album cover so I may drop a steaming bag of dog-shit on his/her font porch. It’s clear that Khia has another album on the way (a true thug misses never quits). All that is well and good, because I usually never hear her shit anyway, but nobody needs to be exposed to this kind of torture…dry underarms, I mean really!
What did the drum ever do to you, Khia?
“Everyone is born a millionare, you just gotta get the check” ~ Justin Obida
You gotta love a good quote. The one above was given to me personally by Justin “JussBaby” Obida (24), who holds the spot of Founder/CEO of The Million Dollar Baby Society – a group of young men in South Florida. At first glance one would think that these fellas are a new rap group or just some flashy dudes with colorful sneakers, but the real objective of the group is so much deeper. The men of the MDB $ociety vow to promote positivity and never settle for what our community expects from us, but to instead go above and beyond the norm. Justin’s nephew, Jovon “JovonDaDon” Gary (17), also leads Million Dollar Baby and, of course, has a major fanbase at his high school, where they even tried implementing MDB in their senior photos. All the while my damn high school was on lockdown for smoking weed and fighting at homecoming.
But I digress.
Other members of this rapidly-expanding crew include, Nino McFly, an acclaimed rapper, Durell Smith, a producer/skateboarder, and so many more from here to China (literally). The Million Dollar Baby Society is making major moves in 2008 — from a clothing/sneaker project, to exclusive worldwide parties, and even their own independent reality series. You can expect to see and hear more from these fellas very soon.
Check out more photos of the MDB $ociety under the cut and hit them up on Myspace!
So, what has T.I. been doing with his spare time while he’s on house arrest and all? Well besides working on his new album, Paper Trail, Cliff’s been designing custom tees! Can we say tre’ fabulous? As part of a new campaign for Playboy Magazine’s Rock The Rabbit concert, TIP is one of several artists designing their own signature T-shirts. Um, I won’t rush out to purchase one just yet…or ever actually.
Hit RockTheRabbit.com for more info.
Somebody start a prayer circle for Jermaine Dupri, I beg you. I just don’t understand the purpose of him showing us his bus, Louis Vuitton bags, and his Wal-Mart sheets…walking around looking like a cooked possum.
Lord…on Black History Month, Lord.

You know when you have local artists who put out hit records that never seem to reach the masses until they’re completely played out to you? Well, Grind Mode falls under that category! This rap group from Miami, FL (South Dade to be exact, bitch!) has been tearing up the radio and the clubs with their track “I’m So High”, but you’ve probably never heard it unless you’re from somewhere around here. Trust me, it sounds nothing like a traditional Miami record. Now I, myself, am still learning the details about the group consisting of (l-r) Chaos (shouts out to Bethel Full Gospel Baptist Church…lol), Stage McKlezie, & Hunger, but I see a bright future for them.
Check out their single “I’m So High” and the official Grind Mode website.

Sister2Sister, let’s do better next time, okay? I think I speak for everyone when I say “sit your asses down”. Nobody cares about Keloid and her new boyfriend (let’s just call him DL…if you know what I’m saying). I am more interested in the sub-story featuring Beanie Sigel.
More black love underneath the cut!
It always feels good to see our local artists succeed, even though most Miami folk don’t care. Flo Rida has been grinding for years now, so I’m glad to see him hitting the nation with smash hits and such. “Elevator” is his new single featuring and produced by Timbaland, and the video was actually shot someplace other than an 18-and-over club this time — victory! Of course, all the same Miami artists make cameo appearances (shouts to K-Foxx).
I’m just concerned that Flo Rida is going to be another one of those rappers that has to be shirtless in every single video he puts out. We don’t need another 50 Cent, sir.
I believe Tweet is one of those extremely underrated artists that’s always overlooked by consumers who favor mainstream industry hoes (who shall remain nameless…’yoncé). So, of course I love her, because of her raw talent and I’m always rooting for the underdog. These are some new promo pics for Tweet’s upcoming album Love, Tweet which should be released later on this year.
I’m getting a little Noxeema in To Wong Foo from that center pic, but it’s alright.
I might have to dust off my Darren’s Dance Grooves DVD and prep for this.
